At New York we all share a love of reading.  One of my favourite activities is whole school reading in assembly.  I like nothing more than reading our chosen text to the whole school with every pupil from all phases sitting in anticipation of what will happen next.

I love the gasps and groans when I stop and close the book until the next time as New York pupils don't want to wait to find out. This term we have been reading The Girl Who Walked on Air by Emma Carroll. The story is about a girl who had been left, as a baby, at the circus. She dreams to be a tightrope performer and her hero is the famous tightrope walker Blondin.  She actually gets to see him perform in the chapter I read in the first video. It seemed such a shame not to finish the story so I decided to read it to you, (sometimes with Nora) so we can finish it together and then maybe move on to a new one.  Enjoy.
