OFSTED

OFSTED (the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) is the government body responsible for inspecting and regulating educational provision in England to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil welfare.

Through regular inspections, OFSTED evaluates how well schools perform in areas such as leadership, safeguarding, curriculum quality, and student achievement. Its judgments provide schools with vital external accountability while also offering parents reliable information when choosing where to educate their children. As a result, OFSTED plays a crucial role in driving school improvement, promoting consistency in educational standards, and ensuring that every child receives a safe, high-quality education.
